Solid State: Save the Date

Solid State Books, a new bookstore, coffee shop, and meeting place on the hip-and-coming H Street NE corridor in D.C., will host a conversation with me and old friend Ronald D. Elving of NPR on Wednesday, April 19.

Ron is a former colleague at CQ — and a lifelong Cubs fan, although his allegiance has been tested by the steady success of, and constant near-misses by, our hometown Washington Nationals (as it has for all of us transplants).

The event is open to the public and begins at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars now and then come check out this impressive new storefront facility, located in the same building as Whole Foods Grocery. Join us for a lively conversation about baseball, society, and the fever that infects fans of every age and background.
